Green Acres Gardens Bed & Breakfast : Bed & Breakfast Country Style!! An Oasis from Dallas just a short trip away! Nestled in the rolling hills aside Lake Lavon are our 28 acres of peace and quiet!! Green Acres Garden Bed & Breakfast - a wonderfully decorated modern escape to the country!! 2 lovely bedrooms with shades in the windows, Luxury thread count sheets and large private bath with huge shower!! Do you have a golfer in the family or just a golf enthusiast?? We ahve a nice putting green (see picture) just built in Sept. 2006. Putters/balls provided at no extra charge, play to your hearts content!! The living/Kitchen area has comfy leather furniture, throw pillows and blankets for napping or snuggling!! The lovely negative edge pool is available for your use in the right weather, there is also a hot tub over behind the main house. There are facilities for a small to medium party! ALSO - now available--- a romantic evening or weekend with options available like Chocolate dipped Strawberries, Champagne or Sparkling Apple juice!! Those things are available at a small extra fee just to cover my expenses. I am very flexible and will do my best to accomodate special requests!! IF you bring your own spirits, there are plenty of glasses and accessories in the kitchen. I leave soft drinks, snacks and fruit for all guests with no extra charge. Breakfast consists of everything from a continental breakfast to Quiches, French Toast or my special huge Dutch Baby Pancakes fresh from the oven!! What would a huge suite cost at a motel?? 2 separate bedrooms, peace at night from the kids... Or even 2 couples traveling together!! Stay here while you go to the Texas State Fair, The Cotton Bowl, or dozens of other events in Dallas or the DFW Metroplex!!! We are located on Lake Lavon with many areas accessible to fisherman close by! RELOCATING to Dallas, McKinney, Plano or anywhere in North Texas, I will be happy to offer you a great weekly or monthly rate... If you are going to move here and relocate your family, this is a much better option than a motel or residence inn type setting. Such a wonderful peaceful place to stay while you look for the perfect home! We just had a couple with their 2 young girls stay here for 5 weeks while they searched for a new home in Wylie. They had moved to Virginia but wanted to move back to Texas!! They got new jobs at the new Baylor Heart Hospital in South Plano. What a beautiful hospital!! Reserve your stay today!! A small deposit will hold your dates! Your deposit is refundable up until 7 days before stay if stay is 3 days or less. RULES FOR OUR KENNEL: NO. 1 - Bring your Dog's normal Food No. 2 - Bring CURRENT Immunization Record - unless it is on file here already! When you are away we treat your dog like our baby!! We take the best care around for any price!! But our prices are very reasonable!!! Our kennels are some of the newest, nicest, safest and the most caring kennels around!! We have lots of return customers and referrals!! I used to board my dogs (I have a lot!!) when I went out of town, tried pet-sitting too!! Neither one worked for me!! Boarding cost me $1000 or more every time and they wouldn't ever let me pick my dogs up after 5 or at all on Sunday!! Then my dogs came home beat-up, with kennel cough (even after current immunization) once one even came home PREGNANT!! The pet sitting ended up with a huge mess for me to clean up, I worried about someone I didn't know hanging out in my home and several family pets were let loose or eaten. One time our male chihuahua was at a neighbor's house 3 days and the pet-sitter either didn't notice or was afraid to tell me. ANYWAY, that is why I have a kennel and why I have reasonable rates. The only catch is that it is only us... It is here at our house and when we are gone to picj up the kids from school you can't bring or pick up your dog(s). There have been very few times that I couldn't work out the time someone wanted to come - just PLEASE book an appointment before you make a trip out!! We have 15 large indoor/outdoor runs! Trust your dog to be in the best care in a clean safe environment! Let me spoil your fur-babies while you go on vacation! I will give you email and several phone numbers to keep in touch while you travel! While your pets are staying here I can bathe them if you book it ahead of time and pick them up at Noon or later in the day - Just $15 per pet with a stay or if you live nearby and just want me to bathe your pet and do nails/ears, etc - I charge $20 without a kennel stay. Grooming can be arranged as well - I can take them elsewhere - perhaps near your home and you can pick them up there... For an additional charge, I will pick-up or drop off your pets! Our immediate area is Princeton, Farmersville, McKinney, Plano, Allen, Lucas, Wylie, North Dallas, RIchardson, etc. What a great value if you are in a hurry!! My husband, kids and I love all dogs - we've been breeders of Scottish Teriers for over 12 years. We are blessed to live on a lovely 28 acre farm overlooking Lake Lavon, 12 miles from Central Expressway and Bethany in Allen All 15 runs are over 50 square feet with concrete walls 4 feet high to protect your pet from a dog in the next run over... Or perhaps - protect that dog from your dog... LOL!! Please bring your pet's food from home, a change in diet at an already stressful time is not a good idea!! . However, if you forget, we will feed them at a minimal charge: FOOD - Under 50 lbs - I charge $1 per day per dog. $2 per dog/day for over 50 lbs Of course all immunizations must be current... Please go by your Vet prior to your stay and get a copy of their shot record. If you are unable to do that, I can call your vet for you and ask them to please fax them to us. I do not mind nor charge for this service!! Dog on Medication?? NO PROBLEM!!! We do not charge for giving pets medicine!! Current tricks are hiding pills in peanut butter or cat food.... However the best thing would be if you bring pill pockets with you, I haven't met a dog yet that won't eat those yummy things!! I do not charge for this! Does your dog need private play or group play? We've been providing either at NO EXTRA CHARGE since we opened our doors!! We accept Cash, Checks and if you use Paypal, we can take credit cards that way I would REALLY appreciate it if you would add a 5% service charge to cover the fees Paypal imposes! Please let me know if you want to send by Paypal and I will send you an invoice, all you need is an email address, you no longer have to have a Paypal account to send money!! BTW - The fax and phone here share a line - 972-734-6041 SO, I need a call to let me know to set the fax to answer the phone!! Current Rates are : $15 for the first dog in a indoor/outdoor run -- and -- 1/2 price for the second dog sharing the same run!! ($22.50 for 2) PICK-UP and DELIVERY AVAILABLE!! Pick-up or delivery is available for $10 for the Princeton Area, $15 for Plano, Allen, Farmersville & McKinnney. This is one or the other - Pick up or delivery - a round trip before and after their kennel stay would then be $20 for Princeton, etc.. Still the most reasonable in the area and when you see the superior facility and the excellent care, it is impossible to beat!! Perhaps you've heard someone opened a "Kennel" nearby!! Don't be fooled! Here each pen is 60 SF ( ALL 15) which is almost as big as their whole kennel!!!! At Green Acres, you don't have to call and work out the "details" ... Additional dogs (yours or your Mom's or neighbor's) in the same run are always half price - always have been here at Green Acres!! We have 3 Mastiffs each around 150 lbs that COMFORTABLY stay together regularly in one of our runs! We are not trying to make a lot of money, just make enough to justify having the kennel for our dogs! We spared no expense in building our kennels, if there is a tornado, our concrete building (top to bottom) will not be blowing away!!!

Linda's Bonnie Scots - Our Scotties!!! : Kelsey and Angus had their first litter since September 2007!! Not sure but may be her last... She is 6 and has had 4 litters. These are the most beautiful and perfect little puppies ever born!!! Sorry, but it is true!! Kelsey is the daughter of Belle, my foundation Dam and everything you could want in a Scottie. There are 3 left out of this litter as of Sept. 16, 2009 - TARA the girl and her brothers Fergus and McIntosh (MAC) Clyda and Angus have a new litter - We hadn't had puppies for 13 months and lost 3 of fur-babies in the last year... So having new babies was such a blessing to us!! They had to come while we were away on vacation though and the BIGGEST SCOTTIE LITTER I've ever had.... 10 BLACK BABIES! The sad thing was that 2 of them were so tiny my friends (dear dear friends) who held down the farm while we were away could not get them to ever latch on... But I'm going to believe that 10 would have been too many for Clyda and 2 were not meant to make it. SO WE HAVE 8 BABIES!!! 4 Girls and 4 Boys!! 4 boys and 4 girls born Friday July 17, 2009. As of Sept. 22, 2009 ~ 2 of the puppies are still available from this litter!! Hermione Gorgeous, confident little spitfire! & Neville - He is a precious small little boy (runt of the litter) One of his ears got bitten off when his Mommy was cleaning up his sac.... He is so cute!! Perfect in every way but one ear half as big!! As a result we have REALLY spoiled him!! He loves to be held and loved and to play!! We only let them have puppies one time a year after they are a year old and then not after they are 7 years old. I only sell them to qualified buyers who are carefully and thoughtfully screened. I have myself searched the whole country to find my own Scotties to keep our bloodlines excellent and totally unique! This is not a business for us. Breeding, raising and socializing our dogs is a very pleasurable experience for us and gives us the excuse to have them. We are very intent on breeding to the AKC standard and attempt to breed and produce puppies that are genetically sound, with excellent temperaments that are well socialized. We would be happy to speak with you about any of our dogs, and figure out if we have the right puppy for you and your family. I only breed AKC dogs - I fear the move to these other pet registries that seem to be popping up everywhere (ACA, APRI, CKC, etc) is a way to register dogs the AKC would deem unregisterable and I can't understand how this can be a good thing!! THese other registries recognize AKC and will give you automatic registration when you show them your dog is AKC registered, then they can be double registered, I don't see what the point in that is either!! Sorry if this offends anyone, I just feel the need to protect purebred dogs, I am very careful to not have any association of lines, that is why I have bought dogs in California and Illinois and many parts of our great state of TEXAS!!! PLEASE Vote against Breed-centric pet laws and laws limiting dogs to any severe degree - they are wrong and will discourage good breeders from bothering! I am totally against puppy mills but I believe in a free economy and an educated consumer. DO NOT buy from a puppy mill and they will stop selling. They are in it for money. Good breeders can tell you after all of the special care, it is not a profitable venture... Well if you do it right!! I do it for the love of SCOTTIES... The best dogs in the world - - if you can handle a lot of personality!!!

PHS Mighty Panther Marching Band : PRINCETON HIGH SCHOOL - MIGHTY MARCHING PANTHER BAND!!! They are MO Betta!!! This band is one of the best in Texas, they consist of over 140 8th grade helpers and 9-12 Band members. They are led by their Band Director and Fearless Leader (aka Mr. Brandon Brewer) With full time help from other fine leaders namely Mr. Bob McClure, Mrs Melissa McClure, Mr. Elmer Schenk, Mr. Barber and part-time by Mr. Carpenter!! They have been in the top 4 bands every time they competed, even placing over schools several times the size in 4A and 5A!! They placed tied for 2nd at the Area Competition October 25th, 2008 at Birdville ISD stadium in North Richland Hills. BEATING 3 TIME STATE CHAMPION CANTON who kept them from winning at the state level in years past!!! So, needless to say, this was a great moral booster for these great kids!! Elora is a Freshman this year 2008-09, she plays the Euphonium, I used to call it a Baritone. She was in the All Region Bands the last 2 years and is an excellent musician!!

DisneyWorld 2006 : We put a special end to the year and a start to Christmas by spending Thanksgiving week at Walt Disney World (FLorida) This made my 14th trip!!! There is nothing like Disney for service and quality! We stayed this trip in the Concierge floor of the Beach club - over next to Epcot! It was so wonderful! There was even a huge gingerbread and chocolate carousel with - - - of course - - hidden Mickeys!!

Great Pyrenees - Gentle Giants : We are now trying out a new love, Great Pyrenees, first we found one beautiful perfect little girl!! Lady Danielle of Green Acres! Then we found a boy, Sir Bumble of Green Acres. We bought 2 males when we got him thinking a neighbor would want the second- but that didn't work out - - So, I have a gorgeous little AKC boy with a gorgeous little face with "Badger markings" for sale!!
